Sherrie Perron
Economic Development Officer, White River Director/Treasurer – NNNPLC Board

Sherrie Perron has an extensive and long history in dealing with community development resulting in positive and beneficial outcomes. Although her degree is in Business, for over three decades, her passion has found her writing programs and funding proposals to both the Provincial and Federal Governments for the benefit of rural communities in Northern Ontario.
She was employed by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as an Assistant to the M.P.P. She contacted and built relationships with the vast majority of Provincial Ministries to serve the public of the electoral riding. More so, she assisted the Ministry of Finance in developing a Strategic Communication Plan. At the request of the Ministry of Child and Youth Services, she was involved in creating policy for Northern Ontario funding requests to better fit the unique needs of rural communities. In 2016 Sherrie co-authored the Strategic Plan for the Township of White River. She is now working as the Economic Development Officer implementing the priorities of that plan. As a community driven document the number one priority in the plan is healthcare. Sherrie was part of the original team that submitted the proposal to the Provincial Government for funding of a Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic. Funding was granted in 2018. Sherrie currently sits on the Northern Neighbours Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic Board as a Director/Treasurer.
