The Northern Neighbours Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is an organization committed to providing comprehensive primary health care to the residents of White River and Pic Mobert First Nation. Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinics (NPLCs) Stats

There are 25 NPLCs across the provice of Ontario. NPLCs are part of the government’s family healthcare strategy and were implemented to increase access to primary care for patients without a regular primary care provider.

Nurse practitioners assess, diagnose, treat and monitor a wide range of health problems using an evidence-based approach to their practice.

of Canadian respondents said they would be comfortable seeing an NP rather than an MD/FD according a survey conducted by Harris-Decima. NPs are overwhelmingly embraced by the public.

of those surveyed said they would be comfortable having an NP do Clinical Performance Examination (CPX) and “regular care.”
